Hello! Welcome to my website.

I am a PhD candidate at Georgetown University working in the field of theological and religious studies.

My research centers on East Asian Buddhism, environmentalism, theories and methods in the study of religion, and moral philosophy informed by ordinary language philosophy. I am currently at work on an account of religious change as seen through Buddhist environmentalism. This project situates Buddhist history and ideas within a naturalistic story of human life in language, along an animal continuum.

More broadly, my research moves in two directions: putting political economy into an account of religion; and putting religion into natural history.
